Badoo~Meet New People with Your Smart Phone

With its intuitive social features and vibrant community, Badoo can really help you make new friends and maybe even find dates, but be ready to browse your way through a lot of dubious profiles before you find interesting people. Also, the privacy isn't too tight, in that almost anyone can contact you.

Pros

Easy setup: After a quick download and install, Badoo lets you register by using your Facebook profile, or alternatively, your email address. Adding a photo and filling in a few details about you takes no time, so that in just a matter of minutes you're ready to chat with people.
Social and fun: This app makes it easy for you to interact with other people, enabling you to discover potential friends near you, chat anonymously, and arrange dates through Encounters, a feature which offers recommendations based on age, sex, shared friends, and interests. All these features are just a few taps away from the main window and work well.
Free: While an in-app credit system is available, through which you can promote your photo to the top of the screen to make your profile more visible, add extra shows and plays in Encounters, or start more chats every day, you can interact with people even without spending credits, which cannot be said of other similar apps.

Cons

Fake profiles: Many recommended profiles seem bogus, having only one photo and using strange names or odd locations. The app developer claims that 100,000 new users join every day, but if the developer sustains this growth by allowing fake profiles, or worse, pays for them to be created, it's a pity.

Bottom Line

If you want to socialize with people in your area, Badoo proves to be one of the more active and usable social platforms of its kind. That said, to use this app effectively, you do need to have the patience and the common sense to ignore the obviously fake profiles.
